PUERTO BORIES MUSEUM

A visit to Puerto Bories Museum, now a national monument, transports tourists back in time to 1915, the era of the sheep farming boom that propelled the founding of Puerto Natales. The tour will take you to Frigorífico Bories, established by the Sociedad Explotadora Tierra del Fuego, which provided employment to countless immigrants who forged their homes in this region. This industrial complex also housed meat, leather, and wool processing facilities, alongside a port to export these products to Europe and a railway linking Puerto Bories to Puerto Natales.

HISTORICAL MUSEUM

Puerto Natales’ Municipal Historical Museum offers a window to the past, housing a collection of artifacts, photographs and documents tracing the city’s history and its evolution. Established in 1990 to safeguard and share our historical and cultural heritage, the museum’s exhibits tell the story of our rich history, stretching across 14,000 years until the 1930s.
